Hi, I'm Sofya (ⵙⵓⴼⵢⴰ)!

I'm a Ph.D. student in Mechanical Engineering at the University of Texas at El Paso, where I focus on robotic dexterous manipulation.

I earned my bachelor's degree in General Engineering with a minor in AI from Al Akhawayn University in Morocco. Along the way, I had the chance to study abroad at the University of Malaya in Malaysia and the Technical University of Ostrava in the Czech Republic.

I'm passionate about building and applying robotics in real-world settings. Outside the lab, I enjoy hiking, traveling, and exploring different cultures. I also have a background in martial arts, Taekwondo and kickboxing, and love staying active.
